The Dental Implant Process

placement

During your dental implant placement, Dr. Sullivan will make a small incision in your gums to securely place the dental implant in the jaw. Next, the area will be cleaned and sutured to begin the healing process, ensuring a comfortable recovery.

Healing

The incision site will be healed in 1-2 weeks. However, it will take 3-6 months for the implant to bond with your jawbone. We will schedule a few check-ups throughout the process to confirm you are healing properly.

Restoration

After the implant bonds with your jaw, we will place your custom-designed restoration, typically a dental crown. It securely attaches to the implant with an abutment. Your smile will be fully restored once your new tooth is in place!

He is a go-to source of education and knowledge for new and experienced dentists who want to refine their patient care and craft. Dr. Sullivan demonstrates his commitment to his patients every day.

Dr. Sullivan graduated from University of the Pacific in San Francisco, CA, in 1996 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

He is a graduate of Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, one of the most recognized cosmetic dentistry training programs in the nation.

He has also completed numerous courses at the esteemed Seattle Institute of Advanced Dental Studies and the Kois Center for Dental Excellence.
